Council and Schools Pay Consultation 2025


UNISON asked local government employers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland for a pay increase of £3,000. We have received an offer of 3.2% on all pay points, along with the deletion of the lowest pay point. 


Please vote in the consultation to share your views on this offer. UNISON is recommending that you vote reject.

 


Please note this is not an industrial action ballot

We believe that industrial action is needed if we’re to get an improved pay offer. If you vote to reject, the next step would be an industrial action ballot. We would be asking you to vote ‘YES’ for action.

 

  • It is important that all members take part in this consultation to give UNISON an accurate picture of members’ views so that it can respond appropriately.

  • Industrial action could only take place if members vote for this in a formal industrial action ballot in the future. 

 

This consultation opens on Friday 23 May and closes on Friday 20 June at midday.
